This dog adores children. A perfect first dog for your kids. He is super gentle, and endures all kinds of miss-handling from children with no protest. Just like the retired champion he is named after, Rocky really likes to work out for an hour every morning (by going for a walk) and likes to follow that up with a rub-down, especially behind the ears and at the base of the tail. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. He also enjoys kicking back on the couch later in the evening and taking in some of Sylvester Stallone's movies - - or anything else your family wants to watch. He might not have the Eye of the Tiger, but he has The Heart of a Lion. Although he gets along fine with other dogs (he is currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs and doing great), he would really enjoy being the only pet in the house. Due to his Beagle nature, he has a high prey drive and is not compatible with small animals. But, he is awesome with kids - - even toddlers. Adoption fee is $100, donations are welcome.
